Studio Lighting and The Portrait
Learn the basics of studio lighting and making great portraits
A solid foundation is crucial to build anything of substance. Building photography skills is no different. You can save yourself years of expensive mistakes and frustration by learning how to make great digital captures from the start.
Our 1-day Studio Lighting & The Portrait workshop covers basic studio lighting setups and operation as well as making great portraits. Demystify artificial lighting and open up new creative possibilities. The digital era has brought new levels of photographic control to photographers. However, there is more than ever to know about making great images. Students should have a basic understanding of their camera before they participate in this workshop.
Some highlights are:
- Balancing artificial and natural light
- Modifying and bouncing light
- Quality of light
- Light control
- Connecting with your subject
